In my previous post I share some tips on how to get traffics or bring many visitors. Now I want to give more details on how to get many visitors and from where. There are many ways to bring tarffics to your business website or blogs.
There are 4 traffic sources in which our visitor come from.
1. Organic Traffic
2. Referral Traffic
3. Direct Traffic
4. Feed Traffic
Organic Traffic: is traffic that comes from search engine like google, yahoo,bing and etc.
This is where good quality content with sufficient keyword density become very important, with additional inbound link from high authority page it help placing your content on first page of serp rank, visible and also reachable to your target market.
Refferal Traffic: is traffic that comes referral sources that have a link back to our blog or website. Such as; backlink from blog commenting, backlink social networking social media, blog directories, video directories and so on.
Direct Traffic: is traffic that comes directly from visitors that type in your blog address in address bar to come to your blog or website. This is usually happen when reader is familiar with your blog and like your blog that is why they remember your blog address.
Feed Traffic: is traffic that comes from your feed. You can promote your feed to feed aggregator and visitor click your feed link and go to your blog.
In my opinion that most of website owners and blogger are more to organic traffics generation than the other three source, but it doesn't mean that organic traffics will deliver most traffics for your website or blog. It is all depend on what you prefer to do with your website or blog.
These are some things to know if you want to target traffics for four sources of traffics as follows;
If it related with search engine it means that you have to be friendly with search engine to generate such traffic. What does search engine like to do?
if related with referral it means that you have to be friendly with other blogger, join a community, forum, social networking and social media. Beside organic traffic, the second biggest traffic that you can generate is from your backlink from all the above.
Direct traffic is a traffic that come directly by typing your blog or website address. It is a form of appreciation to you from your reader because they enjoy your content and they get the benefit from your article.
And it is also your success in branding your weblog or website, which easy for them to remember and is well known. If you are at this point, it means that you are successful marketing your blog or website and maximizing the other three sources of traffic.
