The people who base their marketing around money are not so smart if you ask me. Why will you spend a thousands of dollars on advertising when you can reap the benefits of free traffic. Free traffic is what we live for and its something that no one can take away from you. Once you get the hang of marketing the free ways which is search traffic, then your whole mindset will change. Let me break it down the difference in the paid way versus the Black Seo Guy way, which is gaining free traffic through organic search.
Money Spenders
I call people who pay for traffic lazy people because they prefer paying big bucks instead of doing a little hard seo work. These are the people who uses the likes of Google Adwords or such to get targeted trafficfor a given keywords. They compete with other website in hopes of paying enough money to outrank them on the right side of the Google Searches. Plus I’m not picking on Google Adwords but I they are the most used PPC so this is why I’m using them as a n example.
So paying for top ranking traffic is good and if you have the money for it then it’s a great way to drive great traffic to your site. The problem is that you have to pay for it and if those people visiting your site are notconverting into sales then your money is been lost. This is not the type of marketing I want to be part of, and you should become smarter to realize that seo is one of the best ways to keep money in your pocket and still achieve big traffic numbers.
Seo Marketers
There is nothing better then writing a piece of content and making it keyword rich and getting it ranked among millions of websites. Don’t ever let someone tell you that you can’t compete with millions of websites and its best to go after the much more smaller keywords. Even though the small keywords traffic adds up, I’m more of the guy who likes to tackle very competitive markets.
If you don’t believe me..then search “seo marketing services” then who you think will be in the number one spot? For those who know anything about seo is that these type of keywords are very competitive and gets thousands of visitors a month. So basically what does this have to do with anything compared to paid traffic.
First if I was to pay for the traffic when it comes to the keywords I’m ranked for then I will become Instinet very fast in the world of marketing. Here is a prime example of the reason why I hate paying for traffic and the reason I decided to make seo my choice of marketing.
At one point I was ranked #1 for the keyword “iphone 5g” and to be real with you I wasn’t trying to rank for the keyword at all. Just one day I woke up and I was number one, and every since then the keyword been jumping all around the pages..but anyway.
For a entire month that keyword brought me about 1500 free non paid organic search traffic. Now if I was paying lets saying $1 per click through Google Adwords or something, then I will have paid a good $1500 and just hoped that I broke even to cover my income. But here is the sad thing about it, is that I wasn’t even selling anything on the page so I made no money. Now that’s funny because sometimes in seo you do things not to make money but to only get traffic.
What Will You Do?
It comes a time in life that you must choose the right road or at least the one that’s less traveled. Everyone’s doing Google Adwords because it’s easy and all you have to do is load your account filled of money and let loose. This is great and a wonderful marketing thing, but one day your money will get low and you will have to find another alternative because I have seen this happen thousands of times to people through my marketing career.
When people ask for my seo services they tend to ask me this question more then anything else. Which is why do people prefer seo over just plan old paid traffic. This is something that needs to be addressed by people and understand that you can gain major traffic for free without mortgaging your house in the mean time.
