How to Add Facebook Subscribe Button to Websites

When you subscribe to a user’s public updates, his/her updated will start showing on your Facebook wall. Now Facebook has introduced subscribe button for websites which give visitors the option to subscribe to contributors in one click.
The Subscribe button for websites works in the same way as the button on Facebook; once clicked the user will begin seeing the public posts of the person they have subscribed to in his or her News Feed. The subscribe action is also shared – allowing others to subscribe directly via the News Feed stories, and further increasing viral distribution.

How to Add the Subscribe Button

The subscribe button can be added in the same way as we add the Facebook like button using XFBML or an iframe.
Facebook Subscribe Button
Please note that users can only subscribe to your public updates if you have enabled subscriptions on your profile. To enable the subscriptions click on Subscribers tab on your profile and then Allow Subscribers.
Before using this code on your website, don’t forget to replace simrandeep (marked with red color) with your own Facebook user ID otherwise your visitors will also subscribe to my updates.
XFBML version:
<fb:subscribe href="http://www.facebook.com/simrandeep" width="450"></fb:subscribe>
HTML5-compliant markup:
<div class="fb-subscribe"
  data-href="http://www.facebook.com/simrandeep" data-width="450">
</div>
iframe version:
<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/subscribe.php?
href=http://www.facebook.com/simrandeep
&width=450&appId=APP_ID" scrolling="no"
frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px;"
allowTransparency="true">
You can use any of these codes to add a subscribe button to your website or blog.

Top PPC Advertising Networks Comparison

ppc advertising networks comparisonOver the past two years, I have spent close to $3,500 on PPC Advertising. Of course, that kind of spending resulted in decent returns but the reality is that, only 3 ad networks out of the 8 or 9 that I tried, actually returned anything significant.
Based on my experience, here’s a table that contain the good and bad aspects of those best PPC ad networks that I experimented with and my rating of them from an advertiser’s point of view. Please note that many of you may have a different story to talk about your specific campaigns and hence please pitch in with your comments.

Comparison and rating of the Six PPC ad networks is given below. You can actually take it as a comparison of AdWords vs other networks such as Microsoft AdCenter, Facebook Ads etc (As you may already know, Yahoo Publisher Network is now folded into Microsoft Advertising). I didn’t try Miva, Ask.com PPC Advertising, Chitika, Infolinks etc yet nor have I focused on CPM networks other than BuySellAds in CPM mode. [I must tell you that, BuySellAds from advertisers’ point of view has been very disappointing with the trials that I had. I still have four to five campaigns running on BSA. It seems to work well only with highly visible ad spotsabove the fold]
